Residential and Mixed Use - 1210-18 Kingston Rd -Pickering-Ontario


The client was pushing for developing it into town houses and we managed to get a building density of 20 units for the property.

We created it in the style of an European village using cobblestones instead of asphalt driveways. By tucking the garage space a little below grade level and by raising the ground floor level to just above the parking space, we were able to create split level homes. This allowed for an attractive living space on the ground floor within a fairly small area.

The Town of Pickering really likes the proposal and what we are doing with the property. They were even willing to give us some commercial designation right on Kingston Rd. However for practical reasons from the finance and development side, the client has elected to develop the property as residential. It will be a very attractive development.
